Why a familiar faced 1st round pick should be brought back

When free agency opens up in March, one player should be an easy decision to sign. This former 1st round pick was a bit of a reach in 2018, but albeit was a solid player in the Steelers secondary for several years. Terrell Edmunds signed a one year deal with Philadelphia in 2023 and was later traded to the Titans where he was ultimately let go. Edmunds was under appreciated in Steeler defense that was solid for years. With no young prospect in the waiting and mediocre play from Kazee and Neal over the last couple seasons, Edmunds coming back on cheaper veteran deal is a no brainer!

Edmunds is only 27 and already is familiar with the defensive scheme and coaches. He knows what is expected from his postion and adds a run support safety we need. Sure we can draft someone in this years draft, but it won’t be someone who comes in and starts day one. Edmunds would come back with a chip n his shoulder and be appreciated more, knowing what we lost when he left. Is Edmunds a Pro Bowl safety? …No … but he is the solid answer for Pittsburgh this offseason to fill a much needed hole.
